Get To Know Our Donors - Govett Quilliam
Govett Quilliam has been a great supporter of the trust since its inception. Alice, a Partner at GQ gives us a bit of an insight as to why they are proud to offer their support to the Trust.
A few questions…
Why have you chosen to support Taranaki Community Rugby Trust?
GQ has a long standing relationship with the Trust.
Supporting TCRT is a natural fit for GQ as most of our people are involved in sports and community organisations across Taranaki, and we take great pride in knowing that we support our incredible local talent.
How long have you been involved with the Trust?
John Eagles, retired partner of GQ, was involved from the early stages of the Trust. After this Alex Laurenson was involved for a short stint before he was made a Judge. The trustees are dedicated and passionate individuals which is why I am excited to be working alongside them.
In what areas are you most excited about the Trust making an impact?
The Trust plays a critically important role in supporting the Taranaki Rugby Community. They provide region-wide leadership and strategic direction to meet local priorities. An example of this is the work they are doing with the TRFU to help fund the Regional Development Officer (RDO) programme is a great initiative and one that the rest of the country should look to adopt.
What local rugby club do you support?
My son is in his 3rd season of rippa rugby for Inglewood Rugby Club.
